Who is responsible for your information

Korus is the controller of the personal information described in this policy.

Use the subject line "Privacy request" when contacting us about your information.

Information we collect

Information you give us

Clipper waitlist information may include your:

• name and email address;
• country and city;
• languages and dialects;
• preferred social platforms;
• editing experience;
• account-control status;
• portfolio or social profile link;
• reason for wanting to participate; and
• consent to receive early-access and launch communications.

Business and founding pilot inquiry information may include your:

• name, work email, company, project, show, or creator name;
• country and target markets;
• type and approximate amount of source content;
• campaign objective and possible budget range;
• message, timing, audience, or other project details; and
• confirmation that you are authorized to discuss the project and that the necessary source-content rights are owned or can be secured.

We also collect information you include when you email us, reply to a message, request support, or otherwise communicate with us.

LinkedIn Page and developer integration information

If you authorize or interact with our LinkedIn Page integration, we may receive information made available by LinkedIn under the permissions you approve. Depending on the approved access, this can include:

• the KORUS organization and Page identifiers;
• the authorized administrator's identity and Page role status;
• authorization tokens and related security metadata;
• KORUS Page posts, post identifiers, and publication status;
• comments, reactions, and other Page interactions visible to Page administrators; and
• Page and post performance information, such as impressions, clicks, reactions, comments, and shares.

We use this information only to operate and secure the KORUS Page, publish content that has passed our approval process, manage Page interactions, and understand the performance of our own content. We do not receive your LinkedIn password.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the website or submit a form, our systems and service providers may automatically process limited technical information, including:

• IP address;
• browser and device information;
• requested page and referring page;
• date and time of a request;
• security, fraud-prevention, and error information;
• form timing and anti-spam values; and
• essential cookie or temporary browser-storage identifiers.

As of the effective date, the public website does not use advertising cookies or third-party behavioral advertising trackers.

How we use information

We use personal information to:

• operate, maintain, and secure the website;
• save and manage clipper waitlist registrations;
• assess early-access fit and contact people who asked to hear from us;
• review and respond to business or founding pilot inquiries;
• scope possible pilots and verify that the right people and source-content rights are involved;
• prevent spam, abuse, duplicate submissions, and unauthorized access;
• administer the KORUS LinkedIn Page and verify administrator permissions;
• publish only content that has passed the KORUS approval process;
• review Page interactions and measure the performance of our own posts;
• improve our website, forms, communications, and content operations;
• keep appropriate business and security records; and
• comply with legal obligations and protect our rights and the rights of others.

We do not sell personal information. We do not rent personal information to data brokers. We do not use LinkedIn data to build unrelated advertising profiles.

Legal reasons for processing

Where a law requires us to identify a legal basis, we rely on one or more of the following:

• Consent. For example, when you ask to receive clipper early-access or launch communications. You can withdraw consent at any time.
• Steps at your request before a possible agreement. For example, when you send a pilot inquiry and ask us to assess or discuss it.
• Legitimate interests. These include operating and securing the website, responding to communications, evaluating genuine business fit, preventing abuse, and managing our official company Page in a proportionate way.
• Contract. If processing later becomes necessary to perform an agreement with you or your organization.
• Legal obligation. If we must keep or disclose information to comply with applicable law.

How we share information

We share personal information only when reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy. Recipients can include:

• website hosting, database, content-delivery, security, and infrastructure providers, including Cloudflare;
• email and business-communication providers used to receive and respond to messages;
• LinkedIn, when an authorized administrator connects or uses our company Page integration;
• carefully selected service providers that support operations, security, analytics, or recordkeeping;
• professional advisers, such as lawyers or accountants, when necessary;
• authorities or other parties when disclosure is required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, and security; and
• a buyer, investor, or successor if Korus is involved in a genuine financing, reorganization, merger, sale, or transfer, subject to appropriate confidentiality and data-protection measures.

Service providers may process information only for the work they perform for us and under their own legal obligations and contractual terms.

AI-assisted and automated tools

Korus uses human-supervised automated tools in parts of its operations. These tools may help us organize information, screen obvious spam, draft or review company content, and summarize Page performance.

We do not use personal information obtained through the website or LinkedIn integration to train a generalized public AI model. We do not make solely automated decisions about you that produce legal or similarly significant effects. A person remains responsible for material decisions, including campaign access, commercial proposals, and external publication.

Cookies and browser storage

The website uses limited, necessary technology to function and remain secure.

Cloudflare may set the __cf_bm cookie to distinguish legitimate traffic from automated abuse. This is a strictly necessary security cookie and typically expires after about 30 minutes.

The site framework may also use temporary session storage for navigation and form handling. This storage is not used for behavioral advertising.

If we later add non-essential analytics or advertising cookies, we will update this policy and provide any consent controls required by applicable law before using them.

How long we keep information

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including legitimate operational, security, legal, accounting, and dispute-resolution needs.

Our current retention approach is:

• clipper waitlist information: while the waitlist remains active and for up to 24 months after the last meaningful interaction, unless you ask us to delete it sooner;
• pilot inquiries and related correspondence: for up to 24 months after the last meaningful interaction, unless a longer period is needed for an active relationship, legal obligation, or dispute;
• marketing consent and unsubscribe records: for as long as needed to honor your choice and demonstrate compliance;
• LinkedIn authorization tokens: only while the connection is active or needed, then revoked or securely deleted;
• LinkedIn Page content and performance records: only for as long as needed to manage and learn from our Page, subject to LinkedIn's terms; and
• security and technical records: for a limited period appropriate to investigating abuse, failures, or unauthorized access.

We may retain anonymized information that no longer identifies a person.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. These include encrypted transmission, access controls, restricted administrative access, and separation of public content from sensitive credentials.

No website, storage system, or transmission method is completely secure. Please do not send passwords, payment-card details, government identification, or other highly sensitive information through the public website forms.

International processing

Korus serves people and organizations across Lebanon, MENA, and the diaspora. Our service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live.

Where required, we use appropriate contractual, organizational, or legal safeguards for international transfers. Those countries may have data-protection laws that differ from those in your country.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live and which law applies, you may have the right to:

• ask whether we process your personal information;
• request access to or a copy of your information;
• correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
• ask us to delete information;
• restrict or object to certain processing;
• withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing;
• request portability of information you provided, where applicable; and
• complain to a competent data-protection authority.

You can unsubscribe from launch or early-access email at any time by using the unsubscribe method in the message, replying with your request, or emailing ralphmaalouly@withkorus.com.

To make another privacy request, email ralphmaalouly@withkorus.com with the subject "Privacy request." We may need to verify your identity before completing the request. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.

Third-party services and links

The website may link to third-party websites and platforms. Their privacy practices are governed by their own notices, not this policy.

The KORUS LinkedIn Page and LinkedIn developer integration are also subject to LinkedIn's Privacy Policy and LinkedIn's applicable platform terms.

Cloudflare's handling of information is described in its privacy policy.

Children

The website and current waitlist are not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 18 through these forms. If you believe a child has submitted information, contact us and we will review and delete it as appropriate.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the website, services, legal requirements, or LinkedIn integration changes. We will post the updated version at withkorus.com/privacy and change the "Last updated" date. If a change materially affects how we use information already collected, we will provide additional notice when required.
